(Anonymous) 2016-04-02 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)I get sleep paralysis. It's a little different from that. You can move around and do things like brush your teeth and take a shower in the false awakenings. In sleep paralysis, you're paralyzed in the dream with a monster looming on or near you and can't physically move either your dream body or your real one.
Have you seen Kill Bill? The scene where Beatrice is paralyzed and staring at her foot and willing it to move, but it won't? That, in dream form.
