I'm 60 and have been a fan of science fiction and Star Trek since I was a kid. Yeah, the original Trek.

Now, I didn't find much in the way of fandom friends until I started going to cons. Had a few RL friends who were in SF or Trek.

Enjoy your fandom for your whole life. It's as normal as anyone elses' hobby.
