Apparently they're doing reshoots to add more humor. And by reshoots, they're saying they're dumping a ton of new money into them. Rumor has it that all the humor in the trailers is all the humor there was.

This kind of bums me out because SS looked so good but if it's misleading, then I don't think I want to see this. Really disappointed in the direction the DCEU is going in.

yeah same :/ tbh i was already iffy because of leto. is there a reason stated why they decided to do reshoots? im assuming it's because of the bvs reviews and wanting to follow the marvel movie trend?

News about Jared Leto has been so "15 year old being 2edgy" lately. They need to stop talking about how shocking and hardcore he is. It is embarrassing.

The rumor just said that they were going to add humor. WB hasn't responded if the rumor is true.

I was willing to give Leto a shot. I've never been a huge Joker fan, and a lot of people seem to think he's an okay actor. I was more concerned with Will Smith actually.

I don't need them to be like Marvel but I hate grim/dark. And especially for DC, which I always felt was a brighter, more optimistic universe than Marvel anyway. It just feels wrong.

I just keep thinking they are missing the clown aspect of the Joker. That is part of the character, he is a monster but he is a funny psychopath that commits funny-horrific crimes because he is a clown as well as a monster. They are so set on getting the psychopath bit that they miss the clown part. That is a persistent problem with DC, every so often a writer comes in who goes haring off after the scary psycho bit that they forget to keep the clown aspect. It has been getting worse since the late 1990s too.

Yeah, I see that with a bunch of characters for DC. It feels like a lot of writers have a 2D understanding of what makes them tick (or worse what they THINK makes them popular) and they jump onto that. I feel like the new 52 had a lot of that.

DC Does fucking awesome trailers. Better trailers than movies. The people making the trailers should make the movies, because they seem to know what DC fans want, and the guys making the movie guys seem to think "Hey, they loved this trailer, it's going to be such an artistic thrill for them when they go to the cinema and find that the film is nothing like this".

I don't think that's true. This didn't happen after deadpool. It happened after BVS. They're trying to un-BVS it up.

oh god, same. #1 reason i'm not going to see it. the humour was just so... so teenager-ish? if that makes sense?

it felt like something i probably would have laughed at when i was 14.

it's all "look at us, we're not like the other superhero movies, it's about the villains, how edgy and original!" harley quinn made me cringe the most.

yea, teenage me probably would have lapped it up. maybe I'm just really not their audience, which is a shame because I love the concept. it is cheesy (they need a squad of uncontrollable convicts to help them? ok...), but it doesn't seem like they're rolling with the cheese, instead they try to make it edgy.
