It had some great moments, but yeah, it was a little too rail-roady and 90% of your survivor group was thud-fucks instead of the 60% of previous season.

agreed. and the ending just left me frustrated and annoyed.

I thought it was somewhat realistic that Lee had a lot more directly influence over the direction the group took, given that Clem's a child, and that would've been fine... IF CLEM WASN'T ALSO _CLEARLY_ THE MOST COMPETENT PERSON IN THE GROUP (except maybe Jane).

As it was it was just frustrating as fuck.

yes, making clem the pc was a mistake i think.

she's 11 y/o. she should not be getting all the important tasks and decisions in the first place (and then on the other hand ever just truck along/get dragged along). i'm not saying that the group should be treating her like a non-person, but it was just so odd.

I don't mind Clem as the PC; in fact, I think I would have enjoyed it if it had been played a little better - i.e., if there was some reason Clem had to do some important tasks (say, she's with an adult who's crippled, or a group that's been living inside a place like Alexandria this whole time) or if the group she was with had pulled their weight a little more or if upon realizing that Clem was as competent if not moreso than any of them, had react to let her in on the decision-making a little more.

Part of the let down was that the first game was just so good. I don't think they could hope to replicate it, and instead the second game seemed terrible when objectively it was good-to-mediocre.

The other part was that after so much other stuff being released it began to be really, really easy to see their formula and realize that 98% of your choices don't matter at all.

Yeah, true. You found out quickly that even if you saved someone, they would die later.

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the second season. I mean, I still liked it, but it couldn't compare to the first season at all. I'm looking forward to the third season though, I'm hoping Telltale can bring it back. And I have been enjoying TWD: Michonne so far.

My biggest problem with it (and other recent Telltale games with the exception of Wolf Among Us) is that there was no relationship to hook us with like there was with Lee and Clem in the first game. Everyone in the group was an idiot or a dick. There was some touching scenes with Kenny but he was pretty much insane by the end and it almost seemed kinder to let Jane take him out. I really, really didn't care about the pregnant woman, or the baby, or Sarah - they just all seemed like liabilities. Clem could have easily been a burden in the first game, being a child, but she was always willing to help out and she cared about Lee as much as he did for her. No one seemed to give a fuck about Clem in this game. Even Omid and Christa left an eight year old girl on her own while they went to screw each other in the bathroom!

Honestly the only scene I felt anything was the dream sequence with Lee. As much of a cop out as it was, I was almost praying by that point to just have everything rewind to S1.
