Ace Attorney Anime

Did anyone else catch the premiere of the Ace Attorney anime this weekend? It was about what I expected (not fantastic but not horrible) and I'm looking forward to see where it goes

I saw someone on twitter say that it "looks like it's been sitting in a warehouse for 12 years and someone just now decided to release it" and I kind of agree with that but I think it's a fun adaptation so far. Plus, I'm always down for something that gives more Phoenix/Miles ship fodder (not that they need it)

I haven't seen it but I saw a screencap of two characters bounded by a gold chain and I still don't know what to make of that

I'm not sure I can suspend my disbelief enough for this one, which actually surprised me because normally this isn't a huge issue for me. I'm not even a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure lawyering does not work that way. At all. At allllllll.

to be fair, phoenix wright does not pretend to be actual lawyering, although I've heard it has similarities to the japanese court system. that said, it's beloved for being a bit zany.

If you're interested, I found that this article to be an interesting look at the Japanese legal system, compared to the world of Ace Attorney.

I liked it. It was a bit silly, but so were the games. Obviously not ATOS material but still fun stuff. Pretty much what I expected.

Yeah, it wasn't the best, but I still enjoyed it. That opening though, it's so GAY. Lots of NaruMitsu fodder there. :D
