I'd rather watch Mel Brooks over anything Monty Python anytime.

A lot of what he did is shit or tied to the humor of its time too. A few gems here and there, but still a lot of shit too.

Of course some of it's crap and/or dated.

On the other hand, I was only just saying to my partner today that Young Frankenstein had permanently changed the way I hear "Putting On The Ritz" in my head... and I'm really happy about that :-)
