Anon from before the anon you're replying to - That sounds like a reasonable response. As a writer, while yes, I do complain about the faction that wants to drown everything in trigger warnings, there's also no joy in finding out something I wrote hurt someone. It's certainly not a deliberate choice, and it's not done out of malice. There's a broad grey line between telling the story and reasonably protecting the audience, and it shifts all the time.

I'm sorry for the experience that gave you PTSD, and I hope you have a long and good life only ever briefly touched by it. Thank you for being you.
