What was the first anime you watched? First manga you read?

Pokemon, and I want to say The Electric Tale of Pikachu (is that the correct title?). I was super huge into Pokemon at the time. Sadly, I've never read Pokemon Adventures.

A ton of anime aired when I was a kid, Kinnikuman was one of my very firsts along with Candy Candy. The one that actually got me into anime fandom was Fullmetal Alchemist though. That one moment with Tucker was what broke me lol.
Oddly, the first manga I read and collected was Chobits, still in elementary school.

Technically, Maya the Bee.

The first "true" anime I watched was Dragonball Z back when I was 14.

I don't remember my first Manga, but I think it may have either been Ranma 1/2 or Sailor Moon.

First manga I read was Marmalade Boy. Typical slice-of-life romance with just a hint of incest. How many of you started your manga-reading careers like me - with a "Hey, why are you reading that book backwards?"

8-Man. It was the very first thing I saw when my cable company finally started carrying The SciFi Channel, as it was at the time known. I was 12-ish.

First manga: Sailor Moon (July 2000, vols 1-3 lent to me and my sisters by a friend)

First anime: Jubei-chan: the Secret of the Lovely Eyepatch (either August or November 2000, at an SF convention)

First anime: Was 6 years old, and caught episodes of Angel. I used to call it Flower Angel though, cause it was basically a magical girl show about flowers.

First manga: Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon.

First anime: Either 'Speed Racer' or 'Battle of the Planets'. Though, I didn't know what anime was at the time. 'Sailor Moon' was the first anime I watched knowing it was anime.

First manga: Probably 'Ramna 1/2'
