Re: The only one overreacting here is YOU. Holy shit.

lol this is too much.

You are - deliberately? - reading so much shit into this secret that isn't implied at all.

Like I'm not OP (I barely write fic) but unless you either are or personally know OP how the hell can you be making these logical leaps.

I can't speak for OP, but here's how I interpreted the lines:

"I'm so annoyed at the negative secrets I've seen on FS lately about WIPs."

Exactly what it says on the tin. Why should this mean something other than what it says? There are many secrets (PLURAL, and you'd know this if you read F!S on a semi-regular basis) about fic writing and the relationships between authors and readers, and the negativity shown towards authors annoys OP.

"I post WIPs a lot, because I have lots of fun ideas, start writing, and think, "Hey, I'll share this. Someone else might think it's interesting too."

Again - exactly what it says on the fucking tin. Seriously? They're just saying why they post their work as WIPs despite the fact that some people *gasp* apparently don't like them.

"I'm a functional human being" I read as "I'm not a robot", not "I'm not like those losers". People act like authors can just churn out fic on command.

"I have responsibilities, and regrettably cannot indulge in fandom as much as I'd like, but I still like to share what little output I have with the web, in the spirit of community and fun."

In other words: "I don't take fandom seriously but when I play around with it for a little while it's fun." It's not "HDY NOT READ MY FIC" like lol wtf?

"People who are like, "WIPs give me actual anxiety and depression" - WTF?"

The purpose of this sentence is to call them out and express disbelief at the idea that someone wouldn't appreciate the many WIPs OP has bestowed upon them out of the goodness of their heart.

Or maybe they're just upset at being told that their unfinished work is triggering someone else's illness. Now this is a bit of a gray area since it's entirely possible to trigger someone's illness unintentionally and it doesn't make you a bad person, and I don't think the ONE SECRET that you are completely stuck on and assume is the only think OP is responding to tried to blame authors. But the idea that OP is mad that people aren't reading THEIR fic is still pretty much out of left field.

"How do you get through life? Like really? Get over yourselves and grow up."

I think OP is offended, but I don't think it's for the same reason you think they are.

tl;dr this secret reads to me like OP doesn't want to be given shit for writing WIPs - NOT that OP is mad people don't want to read their WIPs. Those are actually really different things.
