only somewhat related

but Cora's my favorite villain from OUAT, she's undeniable bad and has no desire to be better, but you can totally understand why she is the way she is, and i enjoy that

put power first, because being at the mercy of others in a life that's not going to go anywhere sucks

I did love that about her. She was my favorite in the early seasons.

But then I felt like when they gave us the backstory all of a sudden we weren't supposed to care that she was evil, like the tragic backstory justified her being evil when she didn't even try to be good. Say what you will for how badly Regina's arc had been done, but at least she tries to be good. Why are we suddenly supposed to be okay with what Cora does?

we're not? i never felt like we were suppose to root for Cora or see her as good.

We're supposed to feel bad that Snow killed Cora and thus ~took away her chance to be a good mother~ even though it was literally self-defence, and between Cora and Regina they had killed Snow's entire childhood family and took away her chance to be a good mother to Emma. This show is a fucking mess.

I think we're supposed to feel bad that Snow used Regina to kill Cora. Not because blah blah could have been a good mommy blah, but because conning someone into killing her own mother by poison is a shitty thing to do.

Eh. Regina had it coming. Karma's a bitch.
