10. I can slightly associate with you. I'm not a huge fan of smoking in real life, but I ultimately no problem with it since I accept people's choices and know people who smoke frequently. I've also smoked in the past. However when it comes to fandom, I really like guys (or girls) who smoke. I think it's attractive and sexy and such a cool character trait. And if I hated smoking, I'd end up hating Sanji from One Piece, as he is a chain-smoker. DDD:

20. Holy crap SECONDED. I get so irritated with fans who are practically obsessed with seeing their OTPs or favorite pairings as canon, or going as far as to saying it's canon. Sometimes it's SO GLARINGLY OBVIOUS IT'S NOT CANON, AND NEVER WILL BE CANON, and I want to smack them over the head and yell at them. Wishful thinking is one thing, but GET A REALITY CHECK. Dear god. Whether a pairing is canon or not has no effect on how much you like it or not. If it's canon, it's canon and you still like it. If it's purely fantasy ship, you'll still like it. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE.

This is partially the reason why my love for Kuro/Fai/Kuro is dwindling, because a seemingly large portion of the fan base that likes the pairing either thinks it's canon or will be canon. I know what cock-teases Clamp are, but I am about 100% sure this pairing will not happen.

Slightly OT, but I dislike CLAMPs take on pairing dynamics SO MUCH. The BL pairs hinted at are almost always (there are a few exceptions) the worst possible combinations for me, so ironically I generally end up shipping nothing (or something incredibly unpopular) in some of the most subtexty fandoms in existence...

I've noticed that too! And it seems to me that a large portion of the possible BL pairings (especially the more "obvious" ones seem like the exact same pairing dynamic. It's like seeing the same two characters over and over again. Then again this is Clamp we're talking about, so there's no real surprise there. I would have gotten sick of these ladies ages ago if it wasn't for their sickeningly gorgeous art style. I like pretty/cute things. D': And I wouldn't still be reading Tsubasa if I didn't love Kurogane's stupid, manly guts so much. So, I guess they're doing something right, but they've got more misses than hits in my book.

Hah, yes, they seem to really like that certain type of pairing angst. I do think both Tsubasa and xxxHolic are good though; it's mostly the unpenetrable mass of angst that is X that's completely passed the limit of accepable drama (and still hasn't ceased to accelerate). Hopefully they've learned some measure of self restraint?

And they eye thing... it's still funny, though. XD

I hope so. I wouldn't touch X with a ten foot pole because of how damn depressing and angst-ridden it is. Those types of series just aren't my thing. I need something positive going on eventually. I'm so glad that Tsubasa's tone has lightened up after the huge downward spiral in the Tokyo arc, otherwise Big Doggy wasn't going to be enough to keep me interested. Seriously, I wanted to cry over what was going on. Everyone needed a hug. D:
