There have always been people whose idea of humor is shitting on folks who have different attributes or believe different things. The Internet simply made it easier for the folks who're getting shit on to respond and have their anger heard, which comes off as "humorless" because they don't like to be mocked. The shitters continue to shit and have loads of fun while doing so.
