I remember being really pissed when Gideon left, and they had the gall to replace him with the dad from Joan of Arcadia. (Not enough to quit the show, I was just annoyed.)

Rewatching the show, it was such a good move, and I'm kicking my younger self. |D

Hah! Yes. "There's this show about serial killers, and it stars Rube from Dead Like Me and Greg from Dharma and Greg, but later they replace Rube with Will Girardi. But I swear it's better than that makes it sound!"

The funny thing is, I didn't watch either of those shows until years after Criminal Minds. It was so weird watching Hotch actually being happy and smile.
