Yeah. I suspect they'd be particularly happy that she managed to get her drug and alcohol problems under control, and remain professional, something neither her father nor grandfather managed.

Well, I... I'd hope so, and this is certainly the ideal but there are plenty of families who aren't supportive of one another, unfortunately. And families like the Barrymores who have a great deal of issues are less likely to be able to provide that, even if they wanted to.

Of course they would, because everyone knows that Hollywood families of child actors are well adjusted, supportive folks. Uh, nonny... Drew Barrymore is well known to have had a fucked up childhood. She was taking drugs (not just pot, but cocaine) before she was a teen and was already in rehab by age 14, followed by a suicide attempt. Does that sound like the product of proud, supportive parents to you? I understand what you were trying to do, but before you give the OP for being judgy, you should probably make sure you're not embarrassing yourself.
