Not the secret maker, but these two are Red and Green (aka Blue), the protagonist and rival from the video game (and Origins) versions of Pokemon. Red is the one on the left.

They're the game characters that Ash and Gary are based off of

Ash and Gary are essentially alternate universe versions of Red and Green; when they created the anime they used the game characters as templates for Ash and Gary both in terms of looks and plot, but changed some things about them to give the anime its own feel.

Origins was super rushed plot-wise, but the battles were absolutely gorgeous. I could have watched a whole season that was just Red fighting random people.

I just want a PokeAni that's based on the Pokemon Adventures manga. I'd definitely watch it over the 90s-ongoing anime.
