Once again, I have seen justice denied. Once again, I have witnessed the corruption and duplicity of those who have risen to the highest levels in our own government. All of my efforts to expose their lies have come to naught. Is the public so blind, so attached to the narrative that's been fed to them that they'll turn away when confronted with the truth, that they'll buy into, nay, actively support those who exploit them? The behavior of my own partner, who has seen that which I have seen but who still clings to the reality that they favor, would suggest that such is the case. How do we continue to struggle against such odds? How do we convince the unconvinceable?

On a lighter note, the slice of sweet potato pie that I had tonight was delicious.

I'm glad you enjoyed your pie. But the answer is yes. Nobody wants to admit they've been bamboozled, and bafflingly, frustratingly, they will often raise the lantern higher in the face of such chicanery. It's the equivalent of a child saying, "Well...yeah...but...maybe it's YOU who is the real stupid idiot here, not me! I was onto it this whole entire time..!"
