Hm, I feel like that's tricky because it depends on two short stories winning, and then if you have a short story followed by a novel you may not be able to include the novel. I don't think combining books into a word count is a good idea, I think it would be best to stick with one story, personally.

You think a range would be a better idea than a minimum? I suggested a range because I wondered if some books were too big for many to feasibly read in a month, though I'm not really sure.

If you want to do both for May, do you think we should do Wild Swans or have a run-off vote, based on the info above?

Runoff on second place unless the last two votes came in after the poll was set to close?

I didn't time the close, I just clicked "close". Then I looked at the final screen and it said 17% for each of the second place books. But when I looked at the stats page from my login screen, where I can view final stats for all polls I've made, it listed Swans as 7 votes and 17% and Maurice as 5 votes and I forget the number but it was less than 17 (something like 12% I think).
