YMMV. I felt like it made him more real. At first he seemed a little too Pure Goodhearted Hero. In book 3 and 4 he was starting to move out of that, but 5 made him feel like a real teenager.

...That is pretty much exactly what I said, anon.

I found book 5 Harry realistic. I just did not enjoy reading from his PoV.
