Agreed on all points.

I really feel that the writers are responsible for the hate thrown her way by the fans in the first three seasons. After Season 1, they had no idea what to do with a Laurel Lance that was not the Black Canary. The writing for her arcs isolated her to such an extreme that definitely didn't help. She either wasn't interacting with the main cast, or was getting lectured by the main cast.
