I COULD SORT OF TRY DEFENDING HIM FOR YOU? Except, you know, not... really, because he's still a doucheface in the manga. D| I mean, the way he treats Misa-- sdalkjglfkjlsdf. Have to agree with you on some bits about the anime, though. Totally melodramatic and ridiculous in places. I think it's well-done in others, but but yeah. Definitely prefer the manga. ♥

... Er, but yeah. Light = douche, but that's part of why he's so interesting? ... I DON'T KNOW, I have a love/hate type of thing going on there. Not a relationship, obviously, since he's imaginary, but a sort of OPINION type thing. God, English language, why must you fail so much?

And warning in advance: if you ask me to explain what the hell I meant in that largely disjointed RAMBLING seen above, we'll be here forever. TL;DR is my friend.

Well, yeah. I never said he was a saint. Just that people should read the god damned manga before jumping to conclusions.
