Internet opinions are still opinions. They can still be mocked and dissected and some people don't like that. Your feelings about particular subjects don't magically become trivial because they're being expressed online.

I don't really care whether or not you choose to post anonymously - BUT, if you're going to do it, you should own it, not make excuses for it along the lines of "but you're doing the same thing."

Oh, in someplaces, sure- but I would argue that the nature of f!s (basically a place to vent) would somewhat contradict that, and OK, so the internet doesn't make them trivial as such, more... it trivialises them because of things like the possibility of trolls and the level of being disconnected from the person with the opinion. Which... maybe doesn't make sense but it's the only manner in which I can think of putting it.

It was more along the lines of 'if one is OK then the other is too' than an excuse. Since people are here, they evidently think one is OK. It wasn't really relevant, and it wasn't intended as an excuse as such, just an observation I've actually been meaning to mention for a while and kept forgetting. I maybe should have clarified.
