...It's people like you who made me stop cosplaying as female characters even though I'm a girl. Sorry I'm twiggy and flat as a washboard, but it's in my genetics and I can't exactly fix those.

Seriously, people, we always have plenty of comments supporting heavy and full-figured cosplayers when a secret is posted, because the whole point is supposed to be having fun, and as long as you're happy with yourself that makes it okay, right? And yet, you jump to the other side of the fence, and all we have are people saying "WORD. Big women are better."

There is a problem here.

Honestly, I'd rather see someone twiggy and flat than YET ANOTHER FAT TIFA/SHEENA/INSERT GIRL WITH BIG TITS HERE COSPLAYER. Just -- NO.

Personally, I think as long as someone is having fun then it SHOULD be okay. I just can't get over it enough to have fun myself. I cosplay guys because every time I ever cosplayed a girl, I had someone say something like "It's a good costume--good sewing--but you really don't have the right body shape for [insert female character here]." And then compliment my sister on how perfect her costume was, when she can't sew but has boobs and therefore wins.

...Yeah, this is personal. Obviously.

I'm also really frustrated by how that entire not!secret was characterized pretty much by the phrase "grow some tits." LIKE IT'S THAT EASY.

Honestly, as long as a cosplayer's confident and brings some spirit to the character, I don't care what size s/he is.
