Eh, I suppose anything's possible but I think it's more likely that as a rich white woman who used to be a rich white man, she's precisely the demographic conservative Republicans kiss up to and protect. And possibly she hasn't really acquainted herself with just how awful they are to trans people who aren't rich and/or white.

I agree with you, but I specifically noted "trans" because the secret specifically mentioned the GOP being trans (and LBGQT) friendly, which they most assuredly are not.
