Re: Coffee or tea, f!s?

Yeah, I was bffs with a barista for a while and even though I'll drink coffee if I absolutely must, I really prefer the effects and taste of tea.

And not to mention variety! Even the most fancy coffees are almost all just some variation of coffee and milk products.

Yes. Oh my lord. I miss London now. So many teas.

Don't get me started on chain stores. I tried Starbucks once because my friend told me it would change my life. Even green tea is not safe from their need to add sugary nastiness. It was some sort of milky thing the colour of kermit the frog. I still gag a little thinking of the taste.

I'm fortunate to live in a place which is extremely tea-friendly. We even have an international tea festival that happens once per year.

Trying to find good tea in other places is sometimes just a terrible proposition.

I have a feeling that living in England would probably make me fat just from the amount of cream teas I would indulge in though. ...It's a problem.

The weather makes you want hot chips all the time, too. It's a problem.

Tea festival! I'm so jealous. :(

There's a tea shop close to me that isn't terrible, but I can't drag myself that far. It mocks me. It will pay for this.

"I tried Starbucks once because my friend told me it would change my life"

LOL! Oh, my. I don't mean to mean to your friend but that made me giggle.

To be fair, I now have a hatred for Starbucks that will probably last the rest of my life, so in a way she was right.

She definitely had to earn back that trust.

That's also hilarious considering you're Australian and Starbucks has famously not been very successful here. Bad friend, no biscuit.

True! She got me cheap tickets to Wicked the same night, so I forgave her, but I don't trust her taste buds anymore.

I will admit that I drank a lot of that mango goop stuff from Gloria Jeans in high school. I like to think my palate has improved though. By that I mean, I now get my mango goop from Boost.
