Re: Jared Leto as the Joker...

TBH I'm not even a big Joker fan, and I was actually thinking Suicide Squad was going to be at worst kind of mindless fun, but now...ugh.

I don't even know if I want to go watch it anymore. The more press the film gets, the more it seems like SS is trying way too hard to be edgy and extreme to make it seem like this film will be dark like Nolan's Batman film but FUN for a more "mature" crowd, not fun like Marvel. Like maybe it's chasing after the Deadpool crowd, but it seems to mistake "mature" humor for teen/college boys who love potty humor. So like the Michael Bay Transformers crowd.

PS. (SA) This annoys me because it makes me feel like Leto really doesn't get the character of the Joker and the pathetic reasons he and his costars use to justify these actions as "method acting" is so fucking pretentious and grasping so hard to be edgy.

Well to be fair, the increase in publicity is probably because Warner Bros are trying to make bank after the BvS atrocity so they can continue funding Snyder's flop-vision.
