The biggest thing, to me, is I've seen a lot of her being used as the idea that trans people need to 'earn' the use of proper pronouns.

I had to unfriend a lot of people over "I'll call GOOD trans people him or her or whatever they want, but BRUCE Jenner is terrible and HE hasn't earned the right to get my respect. If HE becomes a better person, then HE gets to be called she"

And oh fuck no. You don't have to earn your pronouns. That's not a mark of respect, that's a mark of not being a douchebag. It's a subtle blackmail that as long as you're a "good" trans person you get to be "rewarded" with not being misgendered.

A lot of the response to her has been that kind of respectability politics and it's bigoted as hell
