Fuck yeah, I remember once was a whole thread berating a trans user that using agender pronouns was 'problematic' and they had to use he or she because otherwise it contributed to the objectification and dehumanization of trans people or some shit.

A little SJ stuff is good. I greatly prefer stuff that leans a little SJ over stuff that leans anti-SJ Edgy On Purpose, but sometimes places start using it to bully and harass, especially if they're just disguising their fandom preferences in buzzwords. "Shipping Kirk/Spock is Misogynoir!" "No, shipping Spock/Uhura is homophobic and abusive!"
