"Bewitched", mainly 'cause my mom loved that show growing up, and I used to watch the reruns with her when I was a kid (and still watch them now).

The power dynamics are less weird in Bewitched. And I love a relic from the old days of "Oh, you don't want to renew your contract? Okay, we're just recasting the character."

Are you talking about the replacement Darrin? I read up about the actor on Wikipedia and felt so bad for him. He was injured on a film set, got no compensation, ended up addicted to painkillers and was still in terrible pain all the time, and I think got fired from "Bewitched" and replaced with an inferior Darrin.

Yeah, the poor guy suffered a lot in later years, unfortunately :(. I remember my mom telling me, though, that she'd heard about how, even when he was practically bedridden because of his injuries, he still worked tirelessly with various charities. It seems like he was a really decent guy.

As for his replacement, I prefer York, too-he had stronger chemistry with Montgomery and brought a lot of comedy to his role and whatnot. But I do feel bad for Seargeant, too, that his career basically boils down to, "Oh, yeah, he was the second, bleh Darrin."

Bewitched! I loved everything about that show. I really wanted to be Endora when I grew up, mostly because of her clothes, jewelry, and attitude. She reminded me of my grandmother who I loved dearly.

I used to watch reruns of Bewitched as a kid and have a soft spot for it, but from what I've seen of I Dream of Jeanie, it was a better written show. Definitely a lot funnier than Bewitched.

they were both sexist and they were both things I loved watching late on summer nights but, Bewitched. Because I love witches.
