Source for what? For the idea that talking about people as inferior and unequal others/dehumanizes them, making it easier for people to justify attacking them or treating them badly? That's a social psychology basic.

Typically, in academic writing, you aren't supposed to cite things that are well-known and that you can take it for granted your audience is already aware of.

Where did she say things that make LGBT people out to be inferior and second-class? I can provide you with a laundry list--although I don't have to. You're perfectly capable of doing your own research--and once again, anyone speaking of Clinton's politics should be familiar with her basic positions and statements. I can talk about any subject as much as I'd like to without providing you with anything.

Since I'm such a kind person, I will dig up some sources for you later. They won't be video though. You should consider that because of accessibility issues, not everyone can access information via video--so it's rather ableist of you to insist on it.

Dude, debating 101...if you are asked to provide sources, telling the person you're arguing with to do it themselves is basically admitting you don't have them.

I'm seconding/thirding/whatever the notion. Hillary's not my favorite but where are the things you're saying she said that dehumanize LGBT people? Other than that she (like a lot of people) changed her stance on gay marriage when it was politically convenient to do so, which is pretty shitty but not by itself an indicator that she's likely to say dangerous things that indirectly threaten LGBT individuals in the future, I have never heard of this at all. I don't think it's really "common knowledge" and if it is it should be extra easy for you to cite.

It seems to me that it doesn't matter if it's the debate team - you're setting yourself up for a debate by making posts like this, and it's just kinda disingenuous to then turn around and say those rules don't apply to you, especially when you strongly imply that you're trying to make a point. I mean you've literally been arguing with people this whole thread, which is not inherently a bad thing, but then you're turning around and refusing to follow the basic principles of the thing.

I guess it might not matter to you, but it basically just makes you look really non-reputable. It isn't a personal thing, just a thing where the points you so ardently defend won't be taken seriously if you can't back them up.
