True. But bottom line is, the people who write those novelizations do so because they're paid to do so, and they're under very specific restrictions, i.e. what they can write and the scope of what they write has to be greenlit by whoever owns rights to the franchise. They might be fans, but they're not creating that work under free conditions, as a fan. They're contracted.
