Oh yeah, I see this all over the place. Particularly the binding with bandages thing.

I'm sure some of the fanartists are probably trans themselves but the ones that aren't just end up coming off as fetishists for binding. it's fucking weird. as someone who's actually worn a binder for several years it's neither cute nor fun nor an interesting aspect of my life. it was painful, hot, itchy, made it impossible to breathe comfortably, and permanently deformed my sternum. but cute trans boy headcanons tho~!
