Thranduil's costuming was amazing. I hate so much of what they did with his character, but I love the way he looks.

I don't know who this character is (someone from Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit, right?) but I am a little bit in love with this picture/character design. It's over the top in an excellent way.

That is Thranduil, the Elven king of Mirkwood from the Hobbit movies. Played by Lee Pace.

I'm feeling similarly about General Hux's coat. It looks so stylish. And I really want to touch whatever his uniform is made out of. It looks shiny and soft.

For the Tolkien movies, there are several costumes that look really nice. I like the velvet-like shirts that Aragorn wears in Rivendell. I like some of Thranduil's wardrobe, except for the big blanket-thing - that looked ridiculous. There are some concept art pieces for costumes that I really like too.

Oh yes on Hux. I'm not even usually much attracted to men in uniform. But he looks really good in that one.

I've always loved the costumes in the Tolkien movies. Most of them are stunning.

Now that you mention it, I can definitely see myself making a window seat or outdoor armchair/bench styled kind of like that (sometime in the future when I can afford the materials), because I am a bit of a DIY and nature freak :D

I loved Thranduil's character design so much. It was so...elf-like, you know? Like you could definitely imagine this is the kind of thing eccentric immortal elf royalty would dress themselves up in, whether to make an impression or because they just personally like it and have the centuries and millennia of time to create and indulge in it - no matter how hassled and war-torn their realms may be, 3,000+ years of life still nets you hundreds of years of idle leisure time.

Those are some nice boots. I once spent way too much money on a sweater that looked very similar to the one my favorite character wore on Sherlock.
