To be absolutely honest, I'm not familiar enough with these statistics to tell you.

What is the frame of reference for these numbers? Women worldwide? Women in a certain country? By which country's laws are we defining rape?

Also, what methodology did they use to get to these numbers? Who did they ask, how, and what exactly were the questions? Were all participants answering with the same definition of rape?

I haven't heard these numbers before, so I guess my answer would be I'd have to know how someone got to them before believing either way.
