OP

I'm not going to lie part of me is really salty because I feel like the "gay" options for M!Shep are.....really shitty, boring and underdeveloped compared to the epic (b)romance Shep has with Garrus. At least with F!Shep the straight romance options are more varied and interesting (and aliens! Wtf is with the dearth of gay/bi male aliens??) and feel less like stilted cardboard cutouts.

But no seriously what are your thoughts on how BioWare effed up same-sex male relationships in ME? I'm always up for interesting criticism to pore over.

There is nothing underdeveloped about mshep's relationship with Kaidan. Even in ME1, you get the feeling there could be something there, and it's a shame there isn't the option. It's just that Garrus was there in ME2 as well, where Kaidan wasn't.

If you think it's shitty and boring, that's of course your opinion, but it's definitely not underdeveloped.
