I'm forever bitter that the "original" movie has no fandom but the stupid TV-show has and this movie probably will, as well.

On the other hand, it looks like Lee Byung-Hun has the role that seems the most like Britt in the original so now I'm conflicted. Britt was my absolute favourite (and I loved James Coburn in that role) but I also really love Lee Byung-Hun.

... maybe I'll give it a hence after all.

I do like the TV show but it's definitely a different flavor to the movie.

I love the original movie. I hope that some people will seek it out after the new movie comes out and there are a few more fics for it. I like the M7 TV fics but I definitely had a hankering for movie fic when I watch the movie; they're not the same at all.

I also hope the new movie is sufficiently different to the original so that people will tag correctly. The movie was nominated for Yuletide and there were a few fics for it. I hope there will be some more this coming Yuletide too.
