Yeah. It's like comparing ships. It would be nice if it was "I like this ship for the best-friends trope, but these other two have a fantastic rival dynamic..." and instead it's "MY SHIP IS PERFECT AND YOURS IS PROBLEMATIC GO STEP ON LEGOS"

Because discussing fighting styles and powers is fun! Like I love animated Legion of Super Heroes but the episode with the Substitute Heroes always makes me snarky because they're making fun of Color Kid for only being able to change the color of things. GEE. It's too bad they don't have a main hero who's main vulnerability is COLOR based. Whoops, next battle takes place under a red sun? Sucks to be you, Superman, you laughed at the guy who could turn it yellow for you.

But yeaaah, even that people get angry about. I recently saw a writeup how neat it was that in a fight scene it was obvious the guy was the less powerful more precise one because he's shown evading attacks and landing precision hits, but the girl has the typical shonen anime type strongman fighting style. Catch the punch in her bare hand, pick up the assailant, chuck him head first into a wall. And the comments were nothing but a long string of fanboy tears that OMG NO don't you know his powar level is over 9,000 and there's NO WAI some GIRL could have a higher power level she has to be physically weaker than him otherwise it makes NO SENSE and in another scene we saw him pick up a heavy box so he can't be weak.
