To be honest, both pairings don't interest me and I never understood why people wanted Satoru to end up with Kayo (Or Airi for that matter.)

But I do agree he's being a bit hypocritical and maybe you should point out his hypocrisy, but also say how you think anything in 2D is fair game

The 29-year-old isn't supposed to look 29 in those shots. He time travels into his younger self's body for part of the show, or something like that... I haven't seen it, but that's what I gathered from hearing about it.

Erased/Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi, a thriller from last season. Pretty good overall, but it takes a dive near the end and only sorta recovers. (Probably some people would say it doesn't at all.) Still, it's pretty well-recommended.

plus, the final episode of the anime only really makes sense if the teacher actually had an insane non-destructive obsession with him that gave his life meaning for 15 years, even if you don't think it's sexual or romantic... so there's that.

Both pairings happening would be gross. Sensei/Satoru has the extra added bonus of him being a uh--- creepy murderer though.

People were mad when he didn't end up with Kayo, but yikes, no. Sure, maybe after he'd woken up from the coma and spent a few years with her as the same age that would have been okay, but in that case, it would have felt a little too much like she was some kind of 'reward'. Even the scene with Airi felt a little bit like that to me. Like "oh look, she's not underage now ;)".

I wouldn't have minded the 2010 flash forward showing that he'd hooked up with Kenya, but yeah like that was going to happen. :(
