It's worth it! Mowgli threatens Sher Khan towards the end and it is epic

I believe it stays pretty true to the book :)

Ah ha ha. In the stories, Mowgli kills Shere Kahn and skins him, with the help of his wolf brothers. But that's probably a bit much for a kid's movie.

probably

Although, I will confess that I never actually read the Mowgli chapters - I've read The White Seal and Rikki Tikki Tavi [both of which received a very well done adaptation by Chuck Jones]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7qnp_HUREM - the Mowgli's Brothers vid if you're interested

Oh, I remember seeing that ages ago. And that Rikki Tikki Tavi is awesome! Thanks for the link! You should read the stories, though - they're so fun, and a lot more detail and depth.

welcome :D [and if I really wanted to date myself, I have a copy of Mowgli's Brothers on VHS]

Rikki Tikki Tavi was one of my favorites.

I'll have to see if I can locate that book then :D Thanks for the rec!
