He was 'right' in that his presence opened up a valid commentary about the very grey place of vigilantes in the world of superheroes, and did it in a way that felt more current to today's audience than Watchmen.

He was human in that he had human reasons to do what he did.

However.

Watchmen, comics specifically, require you to know something about comic book history to really get. Not a lot deep geek knowledge, just an appreciation.

Watchmen the Movie, however... It has it's moments but FUCK YOU, ZACK SNYDER.
