Re: Garden thread
(Anonymous) 2016-04-23 12:13 am (UTC)(link)never did get to transplant my daffodil bulbs or plant zucchini last year, so both jobs are on my to-do list for June this year. it's been a weird spring, all the snow was off before March 1 but then we had a cold snap and snow in April so flowers are only now blooming. My tulips are gorgeous and I'm glad to see the hostas bounced back after being eaten to the ground by rabbits last year. even if I do hate hostas, the rabbits are dicks.
the one thing that makes me the most happy, though, is that the bleeding heart we planted last October in memory of our kitty who died came back strong and powerful this spring. I was afraid we'd put it in too late, but considering we still had dandelions flowering in December, it worked out.
Re: Garden thread
I'm glad about your bleeding heart though. Every time I've tried to get one of those to take it's just completely died. Maybe it just gets too cold? I dunno.
And yep, I do like to check in with my fellow gardeners to see how their projects are going. I always find it inspiring to see what other people are doing.
