Unpopular opinion: I've barley seen this happen, and I'm pretty sure OP and most of the comments here are over exaggerating to the extreme. We've had multiple secrets in the past consisting of, "I don't/can't watch Jessica Jones because of X trigger." And most of not all of the comments were supporting the OP.

Lmao if you wanna see actual disrespect towads abuse victims, half or so of the SU fandom has got you covered.

Lapis/Jasper, apparently. I've heard that people demand to know if you're an abuse victim so you have the right to ship them. I don't have a Tumblr, so I never see it myself.

There seems to be this trend in fandom right now (though maybe it's always been a fandom thing?) where any shittiness at all immediately gets seized upon and painted as This Major Problem A Particular Fandom Has That Is Making The Entire Fandom Toxic and Everyone In The Fandom Deserves To Be Side-Eyed.

When in reality, I've seen very few instances where a problem/shitty behavior was pervasive enough to color an entire fandom - except in the eyes of people who already have their own personal hate-on for that fandom anyway.
