(Anonymous) 2016-04-23 02:20 am (UTC)(link)It's just that, as I said in the secret, I honestly thought the show was portraying an abusive relationship at first. All of the tropes were there.
I changed my tune as the season progressed, though, when it became clear that wasn't the intention of the writers.
(And - not an MRA troll of radfem troll or anything like that. I am a feminist of the non-radfem variety, and that's why it's important to me that a diverse range of unhealthy relationships are treated with nuance in the media, to help lessen the stigma around victims of all genders and educate people about the fact that women can be abusive, men can be victims, etc etc, without falling into gender-essentialist traps.)
