I'm in coastal SoCal. Best bet for rain at this point is probably an atypical (but oddly common these last couple years) summer thunderstorm. I can't recall ever seeing one before the start of the current 4-5 year old drought, but now they happen every summer. Not as much help as they could be, since they're usually bracketed by months of 90 degree, bone dry weather, without the usual marine layer/June gloom to help out. I wish the southern California water authority would do more with water reclamation/toilet to tap recycling.
