Honestly, I completely and totally watched it for him but I wound up loving it for what it was and the way it wrote so many of the characters and the way it juxtaposed shit like...idk, old-world ruling monarchies with modern-era celebrity culture. The way the show featured ~god (basically never as "and then God did this" but always "and then the king saw this as a sign from God" and you see how he did, but it's always presented in this way rather than having capital-g god as an actual character who moves pieces around a board. Ya know? I thought that was just SO SMOOTH and so clever)

And yeah, Seba Stan was fantastic. There's not a ton of fic, but a few of what there are were gems. If you JUST want in for him and for fic then honestly, his beautiful pained gay kid is wonderful but you'll probably get antsy if you're not interested in anything else about it. But I thought it was pretty solidly compelling overall - and it was, unfortunately, very short.
