Re: Positive thoughts
And just...treat like you usually do. Don't break down or act all sad or whatever. Say hi, give her a hug (if that's what you do) and ask if there's anything you can do. I imagine she hid it out of fear, not only of the illness, but of being treated differently and making her family upset. So...just try not to be. Joke around, be normal, bring her cookies, just let her enjoy your visit without feeling guilt or sadness.
