14. Worrrrrd. Not to mention that the most interesting relationships rarely have a clean dividing line between "seme" and "uke" beyond "so-and-so happens to be on top this time". It's a stupid thing to get so riled up about.

33. But in today's society how is that really any different from "I like this person I met at the pub the other day"? The internet is actually capable of being srs bsns sometimes, you know.

34. ...y-you mean that's not already canon?

43. SIR IAN MCKELLEN IS HOT STUFF.

too big 3: Why do you assume it has to be a gay issue? I'll admit to not being familiar with that arc beyond what they put in the movie, but is it that hard to believe that she cared deeply for Misa in a purely platonic and protective sense? And it still boils down to Kira being a manipulative bastard as always.

33. LIES. We are all secretly 50 yr old stereotyped perverted men trolling around and pretending to be real people with real emotions. Therefore falling for some one on the Internets is a joke. Duh. ;)

True! The reason I hate the uke/seme thing is because it's most often a crutch to either 1. Not have to think about what the real (sometimes complex) dynamic between the two characters would be, or 2. Not have to think of complicated characters. It's an excuse to not have to think too hard.

Because of that formulaic dynamic, it's often so boooooring to me.
