Kinda off topic, but am I the only one who thought Jurassic World was incredibly mediocre?
I still see people gushing about it and I don't get it.

No, you're not.

No, it was objectively bad, imo.

Enjoyable in a campy, bad-film kind of way.

But it was in no way a "good" movie.

No, definitely not. I didn't get the gushing, either. I didn't even think it was a very good popcorn flick, and that's all I was expecting. Pratt's character crossed the boundary into unlikeable for me, and Bryce Dallas Howard's character was equally boring and stereotypical. Oh look, uptight career lady who doesn't have time for kids (boo! hiss!!!!!) thanks to her incredibly busy job is rescued from her nonmaternal career-having by a laid back dude who looks like he needs a shower! Ugh, I hate that trope so much.

It was the most painfully mediocre drek I've ever seen in recent memory, and I was amazed at how cliche literally all the characters were. All I could think while watching it was "I wish I was watching the original Jurassic Park right now".

It is not one I have any interest in rewatching or can say I enjoyed with enthusiasm.
