Yeah sure, out of who's left it definitely makes sense. But otoh, she hasn't really been a profiler that long. Reid's been on the team for pretty much the same time and he's been a profiler for longer. Rossi has been around for ages and he probably has been team leader before.

So while there are perfectly good reasons for her to possibly replace Hotch, it also feels like once again TPTB would be playing favorites. Because it would be interesting to see that promotion affect her marriage and her relationship with her kids, and it would be interesting to see her doubt herself at first, I'm not sure they'd go that route. I think she'd just excel at it right away. But then, I also just really don't want Hotch to leave ;)
