He doesn't do overseas concerts at all? Huh. I can think of a lot of singers/bands with largely non-English lyrics that do American tours, so. That's kinda weird.

He does, though iirc correctly some of his US concerts were cancelled due to illness.

He also played a sold out show in Vancouver, BC last year.

He's fairly popular in Quebec, to the point where they based part of their year end review on one of his songs.

OH GOD I love Stromae! I live in Italy and I really want to go to one of his concerts even if I understand almost nothing of his lyrics.
I thought it was fairly famous in USA but... yeah... I can understand why that's not the case. Such a shame, though. He's really one of the greatist artists around.

I like him and the rest of what he does but gods why do you hve to pick up his one song that's so overexposed that I grow to hate it out of sheer annoyance?

Not the OP, but where I'm from in the States, he's pretty much non-existent, so none of his songs are overexposed. Or exposed at all, really.

I'm in total agreement. I would love to see him live, and not at a festival, but even if he did a "big" NA tour, chances of him coming anywhere near where I live are slim to none.

Dude does concerts in sub-Saharan Africa.

Do you *know* how few artists even do that? Like, the majority of artists almost totally ignore this huge continent and all the music consumers here unless it's like one show in fucking Joburg or Cape Town (which lol, no way). Africa is a HUGE untapped market and you never hear any major artists talk about *going* to an African country unless it's Jay-Z and his cousin in Nigeria.

But he did come to the States? Twice? He came to Seattle twice and I got to see him both times (INCREDIBLE show by the way- he REALLY knows how to get a crowd going, even with a broken foot!)
I'm sure he'll come again after he releases some new stuff!
