Age of Ultron and Godzilla are way better...

Than most people remember. I was disappointed by both when I first saw them. I attribute this 100% to hype. On rewatches, they are both solid movies that I quite enjoy.

Is AOU really worth the rewatch? When I remember that movie I just remember a mess of awful pacing, miss opportunities, forced quips, one note characterization, and a paper thin plot. I wanted to love it so bad, too. :(

For me, it was worth it. But I enjoyed it well enough in theaters (just wasn't as good as the first one).

Yeah, I liked Godzilla well enough. It definitely needed more Cranston, but it wasn't a bad film imo.

And more Godzilla. It doesn't count as having Godzilla if it is only a glimpse or two or cutting away then watching on tv. That is the sort of thing film school is supposed to teach in the first semester and teach not to use in the final one.

I liked AoU a lot and felt kinda deflated that apparently fandom hated it. But then, I didn't really expect it to be anything more than More Action and More Snark With the Avengers, so...

Yeah, I think a lot of people expected way more from it. If you rewatch the first Avengers it is a lot of the same. The only difference is that the first one was such a new and novel experience, a lot of that was forgotten.
